Morphe Foundation: Bang or Bust?

Hey guys, welcome back. Today I want to talk about foundation. Foundation is a huge part of my everyday life. For many years I have struggled with skin problems, everything from mild to severe acne, blemishes and scars. And while I will dive into all of that in another post, I have really relied on makeup and especially foundation to feel beautiful in my own skin.

I have tried what seems like a million different foundations, both liquid and compact powder, and have had a lot of fails through the years. But all of those fails have taught me a lot about my skin as well as what to do and what not to do when applying makeup.

I have been using Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Matte Foundation for about six months now and have loved it! It is a very buildable foundation that sets nice and matte which I personally love because I have naturally very oily skin and like my makeup to be matte. Fenty is very affordable retailing at only $35 and is comparable to high end foundations. I like that it goes on nicely both with a brush and a beauty blender, but I prefer the look of the blender better personally. Fenty foundation comes in 50 different shades which makes it easier when changing your shade from season to season.

However, as I was waiting for my shipment of Fenty from Sephora, I found myself at Ulta getting some other products I needed. While in there I was grabbing my concealer in the Morphe section and saw the Morphe Fluidity Full Coverage Foundation. I have read a lot of great reviews about this foundation and have been wanting to try it since it came out. I decided while I am waiting on my shipment from Sephora, I might as well try out the Morphe Foundation. Retailing at only $18, and with 60 shades Morphe was very intriguing to me.

Today was my first day using the Morphe Foundation and I’M IN LOVE! It’s VERY full coverage, which I am always looking for in a foundation. It did not take much at all to completely cover my face and cover all of my problem areas. Because I liked how easy and flawlessly it went on, throughout the day I was waiting for it to fail me. A lot of foundations I have tried in the past have either creased or moved during the day, or needed to be blotted because of the oil excess. Not Morphe! It completely blew me away, every-time I checked it it still looked flawless.

All and all if you are looking to switch up your spring foundation, I highly recommend the Morphe Fluidity Full Coverage Foundation. The price and quality is beyond worth it! I will however keep my Fenty Beauty Foundation shipment because I ordered a shade darker than my shade now as a motivator to get this skin tan and tastyyyy.
